Went there with my wife on Saturday night just before closing. We've been into some restaurants close to closing before and they tend to serve luke warm food that they have leftover. Our experience at Smitty's was very pleasant. Hot fresh food was amazing, and our server Matthew made us feel very welcome. All around a great experience.
The service and food was great. The staff were friendly & efficient. When our meals were served, they came cooked to perfection. Not luke warm nor cold. Would definitely recommend eating at Smitty's Family Restaurant & lounge.
Not a great experience really. The hostess and the servers are highschool kids who aren't being watched, so of course they mess up. The young fella stood 3 feet from my table and watched as my party ate breakfast. Very very strange and awkward. Thankfully I do not live in Kingston so I won't be back.
We were promptly and pleasantly greeted by 2 staff members. Prompt, pleasant service throughout. Food was very well prepared and served. Planning to return in the not too distant future.
I love the food at Smitty's and the service is pretty good as well but today I decided to switch up from my usual breakfast. I tried to order the Texas Skillet with over easy eggs on the side apposed to the scrambled on the skillet as scrambled eggs gross me out and the waitress looked at me like I was stupid and told me they can't modify the skillets but they can take the eggs out of the order completely. How does that make any sense? Either way they do it they have to crack the damn eggs. Why cant I have the food I'm paying for the way I want it?
